David Faithfull
David Faithfull is an artist, printmaker and curator. He exhibits internationally and has work in collections including Tate Britain, the V&A and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
His practise includes works in ink; printed and drawn, books and artists’ books.
He says;
Ink is central to my practice as an artist, printmaker and Artist Book maker. Whether following an ancient Oak Gall recipe, grinding up meteorites, moon rocks or mixing seaweed and squid ink, it is the basis of my work. I find using brush, nib or hand whittled Hebridean reeds, delivers a lyrical spontaneity and energy that commits the mark to the paper without undue consideration and deliberation.
