Tim Anderson
Stories
Tim Anderson’s first solo show Stories gives us the opportunity to present a platform for this idiosyncratic artist, showcasing Tim's unique perspective and observations from life.
Tim, originally from North America, settled in the Borders late in his colourful career, and his travels are reflected in his art, which mirrors the many facets of his life so far. His many varied experiences of living in, amongst other places, British Columbia, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, and now the Scottish Borders, has impelled him to draw, paint and carry images in his mind from each country.
Tim’s early interests included chess, mathematics as well painting, but it was a London Titian exhibition that propelled him, aged twenty five, to pursue an art career at the Carnegie Centre in Vancouver, Canada. Its provision of workshops for every person, regardless of financial circumstance, profoundly affected Tim and has influenced nearly all his works.
He says: For the most part I draw/paint what I see, wishing for a sight that is an extreme caricature of itself (i.e. like that which appears so much in the work of Daumier).
Red dots are sold.
These paintings can be bought online and sent with post and packaging, to mainland Britain at the buyer's consideration. Please contact us by the contact page and tell us the name of the picture you are interested in.
